We should hold people like you accountable that post misinformation online 😭 California Shoplifting Law (PC 459.5) & Petty Theft (PC 484) applies to anything under $950 and is a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 6 months in county jail, a fine up to $1,000 , which is more than the 950, with the jail time on top.
