I think I read somewhere that it has like 6 timelines cause of the reboots, name changes and the video game. Like that’s how you know the timelines are a mess if people can’t even agree on how many timelines there are

Honestly, I think timeline 1 doesn’t really exist. 3 seems like it wants to be a direct sequel to the original (leatherface has a race on his leg where he cut, which is absent in 2), he also isn’t dead, which is heavily implied in 2. 4 is just… crazy so idek how it fits in anywhere😭

i’d argue it’s 6. 3 & 4 are both direct sequels to the original. leatherface dies in 2 but is suddenly alive in the next with that leg brace (from his injury in 1) and i’m pretty sure 4 is kim henkels “true sequel” to the original.

word soup incoming sorry in advance LMFAOO im very autistic over tcm 😭😭😭😭 imo 4 tls is defo the right amount but tl 1 is the sawyer ish tl part 1: tcm 1 , 2 , 3, 4 tl 2, is the slaughter tl: tcm 1 & 4 tl 3: remake ones, the hewitt tl tl 4, sawyer tl part 2 electric boogaloo: 1, 2, 3, 3d, 2017 idk where 2022 comes in though, maybe tl 4 sawyer tl electric boogaloo cause i cant remember if hes a sawyer in 2022 4 is supposed to be a sequel to the og cause the family r called slaughter, they were originally slaughters, sawyer is a tobe hooper thing, the family were always the slaughters in the og one it just was never properly stated
