@phillyfoodladies: As someone who is very conscious with ring lights and does my best NOT to bother other diners, this was my worst nightmare. But also another example of men not taking women’s businesses/influencing seriously. Glad I could “ruin” your lunch/day :) #philly #phillytiktok #influencer #ringlight #storytime
If I was finishing up my meal I wouldn't like it if they set up an ad shoot at the next table either. That's essentially what this is. The restaurant had poor planning.

I think this is the restaurants fault tbh. If they invited you, then they should have allowed you to sit near the window to be away from people or had you come at super slow date and time to avoid disrupting someone else’s meal.

You should have stayed out of the dispute and the restaurant should have comped the meal for their inconvenience. Trying to put the person on blast is immature.

I used to be an art director. We would shoot at restaurants all the time. (Before influencers existed there were magazines. ) never would we set up directly next to other customers. This is the restaurants fault. For real. The other people weren't wrong.

Honestly this has happened to me at two different restaurants - which were steakhouses/fine dining so it was dimmer lighting to be fair - but I was even more conscious about where the light was pointed. Some people just wanna be mad. People can think whatever they want about “influencing is not a real job” but our impact is real. The job is REAL whether or not anyone wants to believe it.

This seems like a error on the restaurant part to be honest with you. If they knew they were going to have you come in to do business they should have set up away from their other customers so you can do what you need to do properly. If the business you’re doing business with had handled things correctly This entire situation could’ve been avoided.

The unnamed restaurant is at fault here. You requested seat away from others and that should have been honored especially if they invited you. Influencers in restaurants are distracting especially when making a mini movie for a post. His meal should have been comped for his inconvenience. Somehow I feel there is a third side to this story but I can understand both prospectives.
