Okay one Starmie is gonna have to be built to take out Mewtwo. Max HP will live any one hit from Mewtwo provided it’s not setup. Max SpA and a Choice Specs and Analytics using Signal Beam gives a spread of 90-106.5% of an offensive Mewtwos HP so as long as you don’t get a low roll you should one shot it. That being said after all that you still got to take on the rest of the team but Starmie is still a really good pickup for Giovanni

I like the double Starmie for ground types and Machamp. Starmie can also get tricky with confuse ray, light screen or minimize, and recover, resisting everything Mewtwo can do. Jolteon is also good with thunder wave and pin missile, especially if a Starmie sets up light screen to help your spDef. You’ll struggle with the bulky normal types without any fighting coverage though. You can win with this team, but not every time

I’m going to say you get it. Double starmie carries even against mewtwo. Starmie is tanky and psychic, resisting a lot of what mewtwo is known for.
