I reached out to the FMCSA on this exemption to haul eggs. Exempt on both ends. 172.2 land miles 150 air miles. Been using this exemption and have been and been inspected 3 times in Montana. No issues. I have the Auditors ph# on my phone. She told me that they don't like the exemption and said their may be issues with inspectors that don't know the rules.

Had a guy in New Mexico that argued with me that I couldn’t be on paper hauling livestock with a 2010 truck! Sad the people we pay to enforce the rules don’t even know the rules they are trying to enforce

hmmm. looked up on fmcsa. unfortunately the driver is wrong. 150 mile exemption is for at end of trip when within 150 air radius miles at end of trip not in middle or beginning of trip.

I had a similar problem in Florida Hauling produce from a farm. They was trying to shut me down because the tractor didn’t belong to the farm..
