@shereelanette_: Things I wish someone had told me before I had a teen and tween: ✨You'll miss the days when their biggest problems were finding matching socks. Now they're navigating friendships, identity, and emotions that make your toddler meltdowns look like a peaceful meditation session. ✨That confident little kid who used to tell you everything? They still need you just as much, but now they need you to be a mind reader. The art of listening to what they're NOT saying becomes your new superpower. ✨Your job shifts from fixing everything to sitting with them in the mess. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just be present while they figure it out, even when every fiber of your being wants to swoop in and solve it all. ✨They'll push boundaries not because they don't love you, but because they're trying to figure out who they are outside of being your child. It's beautiful and heartbreaking and necessary all at once. The conversations get deeper, the stakes feel higher, but the moments of connection? They're pure gold. When they choose to open up to you, it feels like the greatest honor in the world. ✨One thing about me is I can say I have loved every stage of my kids growing up (not everyday now, some days had me like 🥴) But every stage I have seen their growth and personalties develop and as much as I love them being little, I am really loving watching them become young adults!🥰
