its like buying a 1600w power supply for your computer that has a total usage of 500w. it's only for show because it's cheaper than buying the 4wd truck. 2wd trucks can be lifted for one reason only, prerunning and Baja, that ground clearance is worthless if your rear wheels don't have enough traction. it's better to lower it and build a street truck.

Most of the people who say “you only lift 4x4 trucks” build pavement princesses anyway. 🤷♂️Besides if you’re going to put rubber bands on a 4x4 you mine as well be lifting a 2wd.

2x4 is a thing for all those 2wd haters. It's basically referencing a locking rear end or just positraction. At the end of the day it's harder to get a 2x4 truck stuck.

Best part is when 4x4 pickups are lifted, they often have the front drive shaft removed because the vibrations are insane. Ive heard its a huge problem on the 4th gen Dodge. My buddy who's got one. he removes his every spring and then reinstalls it later in the fall for them Canadian winter roads, he's a dairy farmer, but he just doesn't need 4x4.

I bet that everyone who has a 4WD truck has never taken it offroad or even turned the system on(my Tahoe has 4WD but atleast i use it if necessary)

90% of people have no actual need for a 4wd truck. Even driving off road, snow etc can be done in 2wd truck if you watch what you are doing. Obviously there’s limits to that, but still
