This is gonna make the old favorite eateries MAD mad because they got lazy and gentrified their food and catered to tourist weak taste buds. They’re not going to want to admit the obscure and intentionally overlooked 337 areas are indeed worth the attention and can compete toe to toe with the best and hold our own. After Katrina and Rita regions responded differently to the crisis they survived. NOLA chose gentrification by exiling the evacuees to the 4 winds and imported in nonnative communities that have no ties to the Creole culture NOLA was known for and lost it’s soul. 337 triple downed and dug in their heels and embraced their Cajun, Creole, African, Indigenous, Frenchand Spanish roots even more and cling tighter to our heritage. Our foods reflect that.

If you like seafood you should try the boiling spoil in breaux bridge Louisiana and there is a great boudin spot not too far from there as well ifs called Charlie ts
