@whitneylynallen: I believe our souls know when our time is limited. 1. A few months before the bee sting that caused cost my husband his life, he said repeatedly over that time, “I just want Jack [our son] to be proud of me.” I thought it was so strange that he would say something like that because he was my son’s best friend and hero. But now I know why. Ryan knew he didn’t have much time left and that he wouldn’t be raising his sons, but rather leaving a legacy for them-something to be proud of. 2. A month before Ryan’s accident, he was scheduled to attend a K9 training a few hours from our home. He was supposed to be gone a whole weekend, and I was supposed to have dinner with his family the Friday he left. Instead of being able to go to the training, he left his wallet at home. He decided to drive home and spend the weekend with us. It was one of the last weekends we spent with him and the dinner we had with his family that Friday night was our last family dinner and the last time they saw him healthy.   3. The morning of Ryan’s bee sting he made a video of me working out that I didn’t even know he had taken until after his medical event. That was the video that brought many of you to my page, the one where he says “The love of my life…motivated lady.” That video gives me so much peace and reassurance that there was nothing left unsaid between us. He knew my heart and I knew his.
