i honestly don’t think thunderbolts would be cynical. they stop the bad guy with a group hug. it was such a powerful movie about mental health and was so beautiful. loved superman as well tho and agree with everything there :))

I think one of the best things about both is that they have at least some theme of giving grace, understanding no one is all bad, that people as a whole are flawed and complex but also good and worth something. Thunderbolts is having empathy for yourself while also trying to be better. Superman is about having empathy for others and choosing to be kind even when others aren’t. Both give the watcher a reminder to be better, to be kind, because it is not a lost cause. You are not a lost cause and people are not a lost cause.

I'd love for you to talk about Zach Creggar mentioning he wrote a Harley and Joker film. It surprised me because I did not expect him to actually say what it was considering he doesn't know if it is going to happen so he'd want to keep it under wraps. But it sounds right in his wheel house.
