Piedmont hospital is TAKING OVER Georgia. And it’s ruined the hospital in Augusta. That used to be a great hospital. Now? It’s AWFUL.

Georgia established an indigent care trust fund in 1990, a state-managed safety-net funding program that all eligible hospitals can tap into to help handle the costs of indigent care and reduce financial pressures, like those that might otherwise prompt unsafe early discharges. The funds do not replace your insurance plan, but provide the extra money to cover costs when your insurance plan stops paying. In this case, the patient definitely could have benefited from the funds as discharging a person with sepsis can result in further complications or death.
