my favorite use for amiibo was in mario party 10 were you get to play an exclusive mode to amiibo and i get why they don't did it but they did sell amiibo bundles with games

i mean people pay for figures like funko pop or youtooz for prices that are sometimes similar or even higher and they dont do anything either other than to be a cool collectors item. and even if they marketed it as something to unlock game items that is clearly not the only purpose and most definitely not the sole purpose of buying it

IMO the Splatoon amiibos felt alright when you used them. Just gear you get after winning a certain amount of wins in online and you can't get the gear in game. You don't need the gear but it's something.🤷

That is the irony of it. It’s either people complain the Amiibo don’t do enough or people complain that they do something and you need to buy the Amiibo for it.

if you buy amiibo you really have to forgot about any function or unlock, be sure that you're purely just getting a figure of a character you like for the sake of it looking cool, and any other usage is purely a bonus on top

I see everyone being mad about the price. Figures around the same and less quality are going for $20-60. $30 for a quality figurine with some function isn't really that bad.
