The difference is that women are treating men with kindness as they would any other friend, but typically men don’t have these deep all rounded relationships with other men (whether that is due to toxic masculinity or not). So when men experience this type of relationship, they mistakenly catch feelings, bc they don’t have this with anyone else where as women have an abundance of these relationships with other women. And that’s why there is a male lonliness epidemic
