In this step-by-step guide, we work on them gently to create space and flow. 👇 Here’s a breakdown of how long to practice each technique: ✅ Trapezius release – Spend 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Yes I know that’s quite the range, but it depends on your starting point. Part of the process is learning to feel your body and notice when tension begins to melt. Take it slow and allow the release to happen naturally. ✅ SCM release – Do 10–20 slow, intentional passes on each side, letting your knuckles move at the tissue’s pace like explained in the video. You can do more if it feels ok. No rushing here. Feel for the subtle changes as you work. ✅ Masseter release – Spend 30 seconds to 1 minute per knuckle width area until you feel more softness. Some areas will resist more than others. Adapt your approach accordingly. If you find spots still holding tension after working on them for a while, pause and try again the next day. There’s no need to overdo it, and trying to force it could make your body clench up more. 💡 Use medium pressure for all techniques. If you're not used to massages (either by massaging yourself or going to a professional), a helpful tip that I got from my instructor in the beginning to be able to know that I had found the actual muscle, was to think of the upper traps-muscle that was showed in this video like a sausage. As in when you pinch it between your thumb and your pointer finger, it kinda feels like a sausage.
Just in case anyone was unsure of how one knows they've found the actual muscle☺️
