Tipping is OUT OF CONTROL! No… I pay the hotel for the room, the HOTEL pays their staff. They’re not doing something above and beyond for me… it’s their job. It’s just another way business have created a way to pay their employees less… oh, the pay sucks but you’ll get tips

no because I use the do not disturb sign & I leave things as tidy as possible and strip the bed and put the towels in a pile and have all the trash together.

Yes-$ 5.00 per night is customary. The hotel/resort does not pay them enough. Most of the workers make minimum wage and may be supporting a family.
