@mygutculture: Continuing from Part 2 of “Why Women with Anxiety Deal with Severe Menstrual Cramps…” So the first 1️⃣ step to correcting Apana Vayu downward movement of energy so you can reduce if not completely stop menstrual cramps from happening is to eat warm and moist foods (always). Nothing cold, nothing raw. Stick to warm savory meals if you tend to bloat a lot after meals. If you do decide to have a sweet foods then swap sugar for dates (if you don’t have Candida) or pure stevia leaf/powder (no sugar alcohols added) if you do have Candida or Monkfruit sweetener in whatever sweet food you’re consuming. Ice cream, smoothies, and iced drinks dampen 💦your agni 🔥, reducing its strengthen and leading to imbalance of Vata and Kapha Dosha’s which is the opposite of what you’re trying to do. So, don’t sleep on this tip! Number 2, cultivate a more stress-free 🧘🏽♀️ life. Find opportunities to get into your body in simple ways such as relaxing at a park or on a beach, taking a walk, meditating in nature or reading a book while taking a bath. This will ground you into the present moment, and most importantly into your body so your mind and gut can become more connected and a bonus is that your intuition will become more heightened.
