Feminism is only about having equal opportunity and being seen as having parity in relationship. It is certainly not outdated or negative. I think Men are fabulous and as a straight woman I am delighted to hang out. But many women have not always experienced equity or parity and that is an issue. Behaviours in dating will often be as you say as it is courtship I agree, but equity is the key to a long term successful relationship.
