If I remember correctly the Emperor tells you that he wipes your companions’ memory when they catch you after your affair so that explains why there are no repercussions, unlike with Mizora

I 100% agree on Alfira. Halsin wasn’t necessary when we get Jaheira too. Halsin should’ve stayed behind as First Druid if you sided with saving the grove, and Alfira should’ve been inspired to come with you. I would’ve loved a quest about her teetering on vengeance or peace about avenging Liala.

I really feel like Minthara should’ve been able to stay with the party after the grove raid. The whole romance scene makes it seem like she’s questioning enough to be persuaded to stay plus she already knows how to get to moonrise

i genuinely don’t understand the alfira obsession in fandom. she’s a cool npc but she has like 5 minutes total of screen time. if she had been a companion in place of halsin i bet there would still be complaints about her being boring and underdeveloped. also if you want a bard that bad just make a bard or respec someone else i just don’t get it

100000% agree about Alfira. Halsin's story could've stayed in without him being a companion & you'd still have a druid after Act 2 because of Jaheira. The only way to have a bard is to make Tav a bard.

For Gale, I wanna say he’s complacent in raiding the grove purely out of desperation of staying with a group. He’s not “down” and doing so upsets him to a degree. He does have a dialogue after the raid that reflects this. Overall, him being more morally flexible makes sense for someone who wants to challenge gods and is a little power hungry

honestly, i don't want bg4 because larian doesn't want it and since they've done a great job with the game and they clearly care about it, it feels like a disservice to them and a quick money grab. in any case, if they do it, they can make references to bg3, but i wouldn't want the same companions again
