first friends I can ever recall making were the "punks", dudes who talked mean but...it was a facade. they noticed, cared, and took care of me when I was struggling as a kid. may not have been the cleanest mouths, but the souls were definitely those who shared the same morals as superheroes.

so accurate. Hippy culture is a cheap facade and doesn't hold any real axioms toward human existence whereas punk is inherently anti-authority. There's a reason why punk and anarchist iconography are so closely linked. No such thing as a "conservative punk"

I go to this punk fest every year ever since i was 11. It's the most safe i ever feel in a giant area filled with (mainly) men. Everyone is so kind, so happy, and just all there for the good times and music. Last year a stand was giving out free condoms, plan b, etc etc. it really gives an outlook of how kind people can be, and we just need to look for it.
