now in Florida you have to be a state licensed remediator, and you can notdo the testing and remediation due to conflict. Texas is horrible, no license for mold or even to build, Florida has very strict licensing, and homeowner recovery fund thru the state if needed.

probably have to disagree to some extent. Many mold specialists around here don't understand building science and HVAC
That house has some type of dehumidification issue or ac issue more than likely .
A new construction inspection to hedge off these issues would require full evaluation of blower door testing and energy calculations, which could easily be treding into other trade licenses.
There are lots of factors to consider in the Florida humidity.

When Rinker was on the east coast in Florida they had a sheet rock warehouse and half of the sheet rock had mold and they put it into a bunch of brand new houses on 520 in Coco

The first questions I would start asking would be around the hvac system and dehumidification. Is the system oversized causing it to short cycle and not run long enough to address the humidity at all?! HVAC systems aren’t dehumidifiers on their own right, but they usually address it well when sized properly. So many questions about indoor air control.

all wood gets mold so what they do in truss companies they spray clorox on it to kill it. but its going to come back since in Florida its always humid. best way is to cover the wood so it dont get wet atleast
