@jessica_just_run: Marathon Training Day 6. I am not sure if I got into my head too much thinking I would be able to run this fast and with no issues or if my body is just tired from yesterday given I don’t usually run this much or these distances. I ran 27 minutes not stopping last week but today couldn’t do 15 and had to have a break, my legs felt like ton weights! Tomorrow should be a slightly longer run but I think I might take it as my rest day and do the run on Wednesday instead. I need to listen to my body and not force it and then beat myself up about it. Going not to dwell on this morning and think of the positives. recovery runs should be exactly that. recovery!! do not go faster in your recovery runs you will increase injury and burn out. to get faster, you need to go slower. trust me 😊
