I know someone who’s been saying he’s a ‘first nations people’ to ppl asking if he’s Mexican so they assume he’s native american. He’s proud to be from MX and technically it isnt ‘wrong’ to say ‘first nations’ because indigenous ancestry has been on this continent longer. He too is contemplating leaving. Pls take care
