I learned how to talk when my parents were up north so my accent is a mix of northern and southern but when I am mad full blow southern

lol, that is the EXACT southernism I got yelled at for the other day! 20 years in the south, but the accent disappears until I'm around someone else with the accent!

Born and raised in the South. I lost my accent somewhere in my teens. It only comes back if I talk to other people with accents.

I know what you're talking about because I spent most of my childhood in the south & don't have a noticeable southern accent unless I've recently gotten off the phone with my Nana. Living in the Midwest & using southern turn of phrase to describe things does get me some odd looks.
