one of my favorite memories as a kid was watching my dad stop traffic to clear the road of tarantulas during their yearly migration. it was a drop in the bucket in the wider scheme of things but it taught me that everything deserves a fighting chance.

I get so wound up & upset sometimes when I see animals on the side of, or in the road. Not every time, but now & then a sighting gets to me.

I see smooshed frogs and turtles on the road all the time. I move them to the side and have a funeral and give them a wildflower

there used to be bumper stickers "I brake for moose", because people in cars would AIM FOR THE MOOSE. The bumper stickers were to help PROTECT DRIVERS from getting hurt. The world is upside down.
