These are juvenile Cooper’s hawks. Likely just fledged and goofing off while waiting for parents to bring them food.

Bird of prey are just cats with wings. It's the right time of the year. Those are juveniles, probably siblings, goofing around. Kids!😆
Our neighbour has a big hestnut tree with a falcons nest. We see this every year. When their parents are luring them with food, they're so noisy for a couple weeks while branching and learning to fly. It's quite annoying after a while, but I also love it.

Luckily you don't get a find for filming them lol jk
If a Hawk feather is found, it's illegal to pick them up in California

This happened to my partner and I a few years ago! We had four young hawks in our yard for about two weeks. They’d play, fight, and eat the local bunnies 😬 one day they were just gone! Suuuch a strange thing to have happened, and now I know of two times?! Wild!
