As much as your dad may not be comfortable doing this, interview your dad, posted on here make it shareable so we can repost and get the word spread around. If other installers come forward we can get Lowe’s prosecuted in the court of public opinion if nothing else. If we put enough pressure on them, boycott them, they will most likely be forced to do something.

Have him contact South Carolina Attorney General and his Senator and Congressman. My husband was having a labor issue, it was fixed within a week once he contacted the AG's office.

He needs to call The US Department of Labor’s wWages and Hours Devision (WHD). You can also try your state’s Labor Devison. Without a doubt this is a crime.

eventually there won't be any quality workers left and Lowes will start to loose business once it starts to hit their pocket book then they'll start to panick when they're loosing thousands daily cuz nobody wants to use them for these installations cuz they're not as reliable as their name claims but technically Lowes didn't fire your dad the other company did its not the same thing

Does he have a contract or is he considered a regular employee? I would file a complaint with the AG, labor board, and whomever issues licenses for contractors. They might not do anything but at least it’ll get the word out. If he personally knows others in the same situation, encourage them to do the same. If he has a contract, make sure it doesn’t have a non-compete clause. Clearly his reputation is known so maybe people will ditch Lowe’s and book with him directly.

They’re a public company traded in the stock exchange - Find out who the company is that does their annual audits and financial statements and blow the whistle to their auditors to see if they can’t dig up more wage theft

so I looked up a few things. A few questions, if your dad wore any kind of Lowe's badge or uniform, and how he was supervised by Lowe's, like did he go in there, was the person over him directly working at Lowe's. The suggestions are file a complaint with both the Federal and South Carolina department of Labor. you can go to small claims court where you might be able to get back at least seven grand of it. I hope any of this helps.

my daughter had to take some personal time due to some family issues and they agreed to it. They called her at 6 weeks asking if she needed more time and she asked for 2 more weeks and they said well we have to end your employment with us.

It has to be going on in more than just your state if he can find and get documentation from other installers and other states, then it would be a multi District litigation, and I’m sure that there is an attorney somewhere who will take it to be paid on the backend They may take 40% of whatever settlement or judgment that gets handed to them but 60% is better than zero.

If Lowe’s always paid their contractors and these new companies won’t, it sounds like new company’s fault your dad isn’t getting paid. Lowe’s pays them to deal with contractors so if the company isn’t paying the contractors sounds like the company is in the wrong. ?
