She is a perfect example on how to handle a situation like that~ she warned them when they tried to come in at the front door then when they didn't leave, she took her children to a safe place. After the kicked her front door in, she warned them again and they kept coming so she made sure to video it (so there is no question or her word against theirs), cut off the lights and proceeded to take down the threat! All the while she remained calm. I salute her for protecting herself and her children. If everyone would do this, people would think twice about trying to come into other people's home with ill intent.

The woman was never charged because it was done out of self defense. The three people who broke into her home DID get charged with aggravated burglary iirc.

we had some guy stalking our home and one night he got bold and ran into our yard and we seen him coming. i was about 14 and scared. my mom grabbed me and through me into the corner where he couldn't see me through the windows (they were all open to let air in cause we had no AC) and ran into her room to grab a shot gun, called the cops and stood in front of me with the shot gun ready to pull the trigger, she could see him at her bedroom window but he ran when the cop sirens were heard.

My girls and I have a code word. They go to the part of the house farthest from possible intruders, where I keep my safety gear when I say the word, they hide, and call dad, I defend w my life. We run drills. Every week.
