I found out because my local paper had an article on the front page about parents giving $20 for a tooth from the tooth fairy. Realized 2 things at once: the tooth fairy isn’t real, and I was getting RIPPED OFF. Lmao

My son asked if the tooth fairy was real, and I thought he wanted the truth. I told him not to ask unless he really wanted to know. He shot back, ‘Then Santa isn’t real either, huh?’ and before I could even answer he said, ‘But you’re my mom, moms aren’t supposed to lie!’ In that moment he made me question all my parenting decisions.

My sweet lil 7 yr old came and told me there was no Santa and I finally said yes u r right and told her the story and then she turns around and looks at me as says I guess that means there is no Easter bunny or tooth fairy either ugh all in one day

My daughter I’m convinced will believe FOREVER because a kid told her at school Santa and all that isn’t real and it’s her parents and her response was “well my mom never has money and I don’t have a dad so you’re not fooling me”😂😂😂😂😂😂

My son found their baby teeth in my nightstand when he was looking for nail clippers. He was like “I have a question and it’s kind of disturbing”. Oops! 🤣🤣🤣

When my kids started recognizing my handwriting with Elf on a shelf notes, I just started writing with my left hand. Years later they are big, but I can write with both hands now 😅

I made the choice to not do fictional characters and I am SO glad. She still gets to enjoy the things just without the eventual heartbreak lol Also she knows not to ruin it for other kids which is great.

My Daughter was young when she started questioning Santa. She wrote him a note. (this was in the 90's, before Google ever existed) One of her questions what is Mrs. Claus's name? I answered her questions 1/2

This is hilarious😂 my little sisters friend found out her mom was the tooth fairy and when my sister told my parents, they said, “Sally’s MOM is the TOOTH FAIRY?!” Still a joke to this day😂😂

I’m not joking, I also busted my mom because she wrote a note as the tooth fairy and I could tell it was her handwriting. Even after she wrote it with her other hand 😂

🤦🏻♀️sad story I guess. I remember my mom trying to “borrow” my tooth fairy $. I was beside myself because she could never “replace” the $ from the tooth fairy. She got it though. 😢

Our daughter set a trap. Told us she wanted to keep her tooth for a few days, but put it under her pillow anyway. The next morning, it was still there. A real tooth fairy would have known.

When I “discovered” my parents were the tooth fairy it was because my dad got his arm stuck in the rungs of my bunk bed and my mom had to help him get free. The next day I sat them down and told them I knew🤣
