This is NOT a popular float spot. I’ve never seen anyone float over these rapids. They are dangerous. DONT FLOAT HERE. There are safer spots on the river in town that you can float.

This is not a popular float at all this is in between two waterfalls with lava tubes under them. Super scary part of the river.

I love how every time some tragedy is posted the whole comment section is people saying “you should this!” “You shouldn’t that!” Like obviously this was a terrible accident. They missed signs yes. Have you ever missed a sign?

I guess a different part of the river is used to float on tubes... you're supposed to exit the river and return to the bus when prompted by signs. saw a video a few days ago where 2 ppl fell asleep and missed the exit by 2 miles 😳😳😲

There are multiple signs and warnings 🪧 very large telling you to pull out of the water. 😳

This is my hometown police also threatened to arrest diver Juan if she went in the river to help. So disappointed in my city diver Jain would’ve found the last missing person I garauntee it. Instead they are “waiting for the body to float”

Oregon rivers do not play. Born and raised on the Umpqua rivers and we lose people every year. 😭

This doesn’t have anything to do w the falls but please be careful while floating/rafting the rivers anywhere! My sis passed/drowned getting out of the raft to swim in which she thought was calm waters but there was an undertow and it sucked her under. Please, please be careful out there this summer! And please think twice about drinking while rafting, those two things don’t mix well.
