You might be right about this not being a big deal, but I don’t see evidence that women are treated differently. My dad died at 57 so I’m biased the other way around (my in laws are both 94 and MIL is treated well).

We are the generation where are mothers die first. My mom didn't get the serious care she needed and died at 76. My dad is alive and well at nearly 94. My mom's health was also seriously compromised by holding the stress of being both an equal financial contributor and a traditional wife.

My beloved mother in law died at 71 from an UTI complication from MS. My father in law is still kicking.

My dad always used to say evil doesn’t die. I lost him at 78 and my mom at 76. 😭

But what if he has had it already for a long time? And treating it as of late is becoming harder and harder. My dad passed from congestive heart failure at 78 but had it years before. Let me have hope, ok??? Lol.

I’ve been saying that. People are so pressed on CHF and it’s like yeah people live with it. For years.

It took one doctor appt for my ex to be diagnosed with MS. Later that day, the radiologist confirmed the diagnosis and said that men are easy to diagnose because they aren’t coming in for every little pain they’ve ever had, they come in when it’s real. I lost my composure. He didn’t flinch. 😤

👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 and women will effectively advocate for their husbands and are excellent caregivers. Meanwhile men leave their wives when their wives get sick

I agree with you. This lower leg thing isn’t going to give the rest of us any relief. In my world the women are living longer and frankly the men only live as long as they do because the good women in their lives drag their asses to the finish line. They’d never make it without us. I’m sorry your mom wasn’t treated well or fairly.
