My soon to be ex husband says I’m brainwashing my teenage children. They can see exactly what’s going on and he wants me to lie to them so he looks better. They can see who’s right and wrong, they are living it too. He is not being accountable for the amount he’s betrayed not just me but his kids.

So true. In my case there was no betrayal we just grew apart and decided to divorce after 42 years of marriage my adult children struggled. Neither of us has remarried after 12 years and my sons still mourn the family unit. So sad.

My perception is the narrative is twisted or at least ignored by my adult daughters. They think their father is perfect even though they know the truth. And each day goes on as if my pain is invisible. It’s soul crushing.

Our adult kids are heartbroken, they too feel betrayed by their father and are very disappointed in him. It’s such a heartbreaking nightmare to be in! I wish this on no one!

When I found out my dad had an affair I was devastated. It was a huge shock after nearly 50yrs of being married to my mum. It was an awful time, supporting my mum but also trying to accept his betrayal. Whilst they were going through their divorce. I discovered my husband had cheated and fathered a child with his side piece. Another betrayal. Staying strong and in control for my 3 children was the biggest test of my life.

As a divorced mother of twin 27yo I can tell you this is 100% true! Sadly after the trauma our family has experienced my kids have no contact with their father. It’s their decision and I just try to be as supportive as I can.

I was the betrayed, and my wife has done exactly that she is manipulated, and she instantly went to damage control mode with the children to make herself come out, smelling like a rose, and now they all have very much dissension against me
