I just wanted to come on and say hello to everyone following me from the recent press this month, which I’m so thankful for! ❤️My name is Violet Sky, I’m 24 and a singer from NYC. I sing on old tracks that were actually made in the 80s, and the only new thing about them are my vocals I recorded now! I got to work together with David Bravo of my favorite 80s band Shy Talk- he produced all of these songs from 1988-1991 but never released them publicly. 30 something years later, he had the idea to have me add my vocals to them and now you get to listen to them in this generation! We changed nothing about these songs, they’re exactly as they were recorded 30 years ago, and transferred directly from DAT tapes they existed on all that time. I’m in the process of releasing an album of these archived songs, so stay tuned for that! For now I have 6 released on streaming :) I’m also a content creator, vinyl DJ, archivist, wardrobe consultant among other things and have a 1992 Camaro named Ceceile!
