Team chair tried to tell me my son didn’t need any PLEP B accommodation on his new iep for his ADHD and anxiety that were currently in his 504. I guess he only has ADHD and anxiety in the clsssroom but he’s totally fine in the rest of the building 😳

“I haven’t worked with (the student) since September.” - actually written in the iep and spoken out loud. It was January. The student was my daughter, I’m a 20+ year veteran teacher with lots of sped experience. 🥴

Sped director told me that reducing tasks on on work was a accommodations not modification. 🫣 SLP and I, general educator, were very confused.

That my apraxic daughter sounded like she had marbles in her mouth while she spoke and she was lucky the TA understood her!

I was told on 3 different occasions in one school year, that my AuDHD child with anxiety had behaviors bc he “was an only child” and “didn’t have a sibling” by the sped director. I have secondary infertility and had 4 miscarriages in the 2 years leading up to that school year.

we had the parent of an ED Student in for a meeting. Student refused most work; however, made this awesome poster for a book they tried really hard on. We proudly showed dad, to which dad looked at the kid and the project and states "look like a geeky Fa**ot made this".
