This actually a bad example. Ai can think. They’re not giving the symmetry breaker for ai thinking vs humans thinking. Humans reflect human thought. Humans teach other humans how to think/reflect. So reflecting human thought isn’t a symmetry breaker.

AI does not stop and think in it's own volition. And the whole point of "Cogito, ergo sum" is that the being can recognize and understand that it is actively thinking. Just because you remember thinking, does not mean you exist. You must actively think and recognize that you are thinking to be confident that you exist. Just a memory of the act of thinking is not enough. All according to Descartes of course.
