i know how guilty it feels when your mental health "ruins" your plans, but you are doing what's best for you and that's always the best choice, we are so proud of you

try to look for partial hospitalization programs. its like mental health school instead of the full grippy sock vacation. its like a 9-5 with a bunch of different group therapy and coping strategies type thing

My C-PTSD was most helped with a partial hospitalization program/ intensive outpatient program. Not quite grippy sock level but consistent enough and a lot of time to intentionally process and heal was really beneficial. The program I did was 9 AM - 3 PM M-F for 12 weeks and then 9-12 for 3 weeks, but there are ones both more intense or less intense than that. There are PTSD specific ones now, and it is definitely worth looking into! 🩷

thank you for bringing up the concept of therapy being tricky with cultural divides. I hadn't thought of that. my number one reason I'm hesitant to move to the uk is being in a completely different culture. also the compatibility when it comes to my mental health so that's interesting thank you

I am SO PROUD OF YOU!!!! Smashing that feelings bottle last year (yk what was up) was…so, so needed. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes you and how it helps you grow. It takes the most insane amount of courage and willpower to work on your mental health. Cheering you on always, this is HUGE! Love you diva 🫶🫶

I have cPTSD as well - diagnosed 14 years ago. For what one small cog in thethe eternal machine is worth I have never yet needed inpatient. My meds are maintained, I can reach out for counseling again when/if I want it but honestly the best thing for me personally has been a task trained dog. Is that a solution for everyone? Absolutely not. It’s but a sign that as hard as the road is you will find what works for you and you are so worth the work. I wish you the best.

They sure do like to recommend grippy sock land but sometimes it’s just not feasible. I get you, girl! There are lots of other options (outpatient, etc) and you will find what works for you 🥰

The way my husband said you will take your mental health meds and I will reward you by giving you multivitamin gummies everyday and has multiple alarms for it. It worked for me. Also, the alarm is for my toddler and infants meds so we all get rewarded.
