Everyone talks about the French Revolution but never want to talk about the Reign of Terror

It wouldn’t even come to a fight. When the billionaires turn off the power and water and internet for a week, all these wannabe revolutionaries will be begging to surrender.

With wages being garnished, Medicaid being cut, life saving cancer research being cut, and USAID cut, these people have A LOT of crowdfunding to do!

Iran is the perfect example of revolution gone wrong. Not many know that it was a secular(ish), left-wing movement until the extremists hijacked it.

spoken like a true liberal. you're not going to vote your way out of this. never in history has a fascist system been voted away. the U.S military is a house of cards and has never won a war single handedly. smaller countries like Vietnam and Afghanistan have fought them off. sorry you're going to lose your daily Starbucks but you're gonna have to get your hands dirty.

also none of them actually have held a gun in their life, or have any experience in tactical medical care, dont even get me started on minimal vocational skills when the power grid goes our cuz of the “revolution”

I remember when the Occupy Wall Street movement started and I actually thought “this is time when people are actually going to change the system.” But it was just people getting high and playing music. Eventually everyone got bored and left. People complain that Democrats aren’t doing enough, but then they refuse to support them and keep letting Republicans set things back even further.

It’s interesting you bring up the Hunger Games because one of the major plot points in Mockingjay was that the REBELS end up killing civilians in the Capitol indiscriminately and its leadership has no issue with switching the roles where the oppressed become the oppressors instead of creating a more egalitarian system that addresses injustice. Revolution in its very nature while transformative lends itself very easily to violent retribution. The people it claims to represent end up having to be sidelined in the pursuit of more centralized power. I really think it’s incredibly concerning that there’s so many people who don’t think about the impact that such a violent and chaotic event could have on our society.

also all of those movies like the hunger games end when the revolution does… like even if their revolution goes perfectly, what’s the plan for after??

Yup, they make the perfect the enemy of the good & refuse to make the adult decision to vote for "the lesser of evils" so they let the facists on the right win.

Its funny because Marxism is really about understanding material conditions and most of these people don’t realize who they are, who the American people are, what the government is , and how reliant they are on basic government services just to live let alone start a revolution

Someone on this app referred to the leftist elitists as the “hall monitors of the revolution” they want to blow their whistle at everybody, but what are they actually doing to help?

They're really incredibly vague about this gigantic commitment they're asking of everyone. Also after you start the Revolution how are you doing to win the Revolution? What kind of revolution are we shooting for here?

i will always be a leftist but they’re so confused on why marginalized groups aren’t signing up to lose what little rights we have and die in their revolution. 😭

Theyre so sheltered they dint get any war even revolution is horrid, no matter what. Not only that but they wanna tear down a system with no idea how it rebuild it to prevent the same issues coming back up. Like you said, they just wanna rule the rubble not help people

Every words you said!! Yep they don’t actually plan to take any part in any revolution. They can’t even talk to or feed their neighbor let alone crowdfund. They don’t know how to coalition build cuz they’re obsessed with cancel culture of anyone with a slightly differing opinion.

So many have also never deconstructed Christian beliefs and view "The Revolution" through the lens of the rapture. It's inevitable that it will happen and their side will win, so any amount of innocents suffering to achieve it is excusable.
