Oh nooooooo omg what an accident/OversIht i’m not trying to bash anyone at all, but I don’t know who trains these guys and girls specifically on the x-ray machine and what in a nerd. Pineapple grenade looks like inside, but you would think also because these are so dangerous there might be a second review and a third review of other EOD members before they cut into it if not, I’m sure it will be from now on, it could’ve been as simple as having one and or two other people looking at the x-ray before cutting into it matter of fact that the other two guys that were there for the training probably should’ve gotten a look at it themselves, but they probably trusted this person also so it’s just such a tragic accident. Can’t even imagine what those guys thought. They probably didn’t even have much to think of that. I have to assume wow.

What do you mean what led up to it? It was the one that decided to get the saws all out of the toolbox what are you talking about? Whoever decided to cut it. It's their fault. They should've assumed that it was a live ordinance and they should've disposed of it properly pure negligence.

If a grenade has a clearly visible, intact fuse, it is more likely to be real, especially if it lacks a safety pin or has a missing safety clip. Some inert training grenades have a hole in the bottom, but some do not, and some real grenades can also have a hole. A blue spoon, while sometimes associated with training grenades, is not a definitive indicator, as some real grenades may have blue components or have been painted blue for training purposes.
