Repent = change your mind. In the context of salvation, it's to change your mind from unbelief to belief in Jesus Christ alone and His finished work on the cross as your way to Heaven. Jesus Christ paid for our sins past, present, and future. All of our sins were in the future when Christ died on the cross and then rose from the dead on the 3rd day. He conquered sin and death. He lived a perfect life obeying the law fulfilling it perfectly in our place because we never could. God accepts nothing less than perfection for a person to enter the kingdom of God. Jesus is that perfection. Heaven is a free gift that we can't earn by repenting of sins , feeling sorry for sins, accepting Jesus into our heart, making Jesus the Lord of your life, water baptism etc. Only faith alone in Christ alone saves us believing what He accomplished on the cross was enough to cover the complete payment of all of our sins. The gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Grace through faith alone, Ephesians 2:8-9. We can KNOW we have eternal life: 1 John 5:13 When we die we go to one of two places Heaven or hell. Eternity is a long time to get it wrong.

I am so paranoid I still always look inside my car before I get into it at any parking lot no matter what time of the day it is. I live in NZ one of the safest countries. But I’ve watched/ heard so many crazy stories about creeps being found in cars this has become a habit for me 🫠🫠🫠
