Changing oil and air filter is pretty easy, tbh. Anyone can learn to do it in a few minutes, YouTube university 🤣

I tell all contractors that come to my house “ I would just do it myself but I’m traveling a lot for work and don’t have the time” the estimate is always better.

Honestly, unless it’s something I can’t do or just don’t want to do, like change the oil or brakes. Whatever. I just tell them no. If it’s something like an air filter, I look on YouTube to see what the extent of it will be to see if next time I need to have them do it or if I can just do it myself.

An oil change is easier task you can do yourself for cheap ( under $ 50). You need 3 items you can get car parts store, YouTube, maybe a tool or elbow grease to remove the oil filter, & a driveway to work on. If you haven’t got your oil changed in years you should get a professional.

I literally went somewhere just for a state inspection which takes like 10 minutes max. I’m not going anywhere. They tried to get me to change my air and cabin filters changed. I left and changed them myself for less than what they’d charge for a single one.
