ok, first off. Batman comforting a crying kid is an exception, not a rule to his character. Batmans first and PRIMARY goal in his appearance is to terrify criminals and make them think twice. He wants his crusade against crime to ultimately turn Gotham into a place where children dont need to cry at all, so the ends justify his means. "looking at all these pictures right here, this is just way too threatening, you look like a demon." That is LITERALLY the point dude! To appear to be more than just a man in a costume with fancy gadgets. He's the Gotham Devil, an urban legend that strikes fear into the heart of the criminal underworld. If you lived in Gotham and were thinking about robbing someone at gunpoint, and you knew this thing, whatever it is, was possibly out there, watching you, waiting for you to make the wrong decision before descending on you like a malevolent shadow you'd think twice. you're entire argument boils down to "Batman looking the way he intended to look to criminals is scary and I don't like it." you probably want a goofy, live action version of Lego batman in the new dcu.

Those edits aren't accurate to how Batman's eyes are on his mask. They just edited him to be wearing contacts. Batman's lenses should fill the entire eye holes of his mask to make his eyes appear larger and should have the ability to emote like we saw from Spider-Man and Deadpool movies.

He's not superman. He's supposed to be terrifying. The Dark Knight, the Bat of Gotham. Criminals, Mafia Bosses, Monsters, they all are afraid of him. He's not there to comfort a child, but to traumatize a psycho butcher doctor wearing a pig mask that ties up innocent people in order to cut them into pieces. It's Superman's job to save little girls' kitties form trees while smiling.

I’m pretty sure in the comics and animation he isn’t actually supposed to have white eyes. It’s for comical effect. This is the same as how Robins flimsy mask has white eyes. In more realistic art styles, they draw eyes. Also, eyes are pretty much how Batman actors act in their movies

Have you read the comics? Batman is meant to be terrifying. He’s not meant for the kids, he’s a symbol of fear for the villains of Gotham. Superman is for the kids. That’s the whole point of the Superman/batman rivalry. Superman is hope, Batman is fear.

personally i feel like they'd work best as lenses on his mask, partially so they can have a slightly longer more angular look like the animated series but also maybe then they could be retractable?
