lowkey BTS I would say is on par to what the Beatles did as both an ARMY and beatle stan-- kpop is so popular and normal now compared to like pre-pandemic. I need double check but I think like BTS alone has brought like 5 billion to Korea's economy each year

I’ve only heard about five chords from Taylor Swift songs. She has no musical knowledge. She would be very confused if she tried to play Beatles songs because she doesn’t know the chords much less the complex rhythms.

yes! they grew up in the post-war era where teenagers suddenly had a lot more free time and a lot more money. their production techniques were groundbreaking, the whole thing was a recipe for their influence to be explosive
