yall misunderstanding the whole meaning of the song,the whole point of the song is she’d rather feel that affection she would get in the 1965 while highlighting the cons of being a housewife in the 1960’s and shes saying compared to the guys this generation she’d rather go through that pain and feel loved rather then being cheated on and not feeling loved. shes emphasizing how a life with sincere devotion even if imperfect beats her emotionally draining situation.

Satire is supposed to be funny. These lyrics are not. The fact that people don't understand why some people are upset is sad. Not liking this one song is not being a hater. It's a disagreement. Making fun of DV and loosing rights isn't funny imo. Especially during this time.
