Another gal from a “broken” home here and honestly, I’ve made the decision that if the adults in this situation can’t tolerate one another for the sake of my happiness that’s a them problem not a me problem and I won’t be letting it take up real estate in my brain. Coming from a wedding photographer who sees a lot of family situations - I always encourage my clients to set boundaries because this is YOUR day. Plan a day that reflects your love and brings YOU joy!! If that means eloping, do it. If that means a micro wedding in lake como, do it!

I 100% understand. I was never a wedding girly, had a wedding it was gorgeous it was in a mansion in Alaska but I hated that day, everything was stressful and emotional and not at all what I thought
