@wolfforce58205_personal: Replying to @thisis_ko People have preferences/limitations, sure, but let's be real here: people want the unicorn dogs and WAY too often don't actually care about finding the right match. They want cute. They want young. They want rare. They want a sad story they can feel good about and brag about. Oh, and preferably fully trained with zero health or behavioral issues. Amazing dogs get euthanized because people won't even come into the shelter because it's "too depressing" but the phones will ring off the hook and people will line up outside the door the second some sad story hits the local news stations because some highly desirable (highly adoptable) dogs come in. It's frustrating to deal with when you work at a shelter. And then people have the gall to get mad at shelters that have to euthanize for space. There's no winning. Until people stop supporting BYBs, mills, and other greeders this problem is going to continue though =/ It'd be nice if more people cared 🖤 #puppies #puppy #fosterdog #animalshelter #animalshelterworker #adoptorshopresponsibly
