It's funny to me to read how sometimes people are hypocritical with certain people. Heath Ledger never joked about Brokeback Mountain, just like other actors have never made jokes about certain characters because they take their roles seriously, they try to empathize or tell a story because they don't know who can relate to certain things about that character, and they are respected abt that. But with Jeremy, I see a lot of jokes about him for that.. and I understand that method acting is very much rejected by many, but there are always nuances to everything and everyone. Jeremy is a great actor as well as the entire cast, and for him to be serious or take a role seriously, I think there's nothing wrong with that.

Guys we certainly have different opinions here but in the end Jeremy could choose the way he wants to act and how much he wants to invest in the character. Personally I don’t think tie cringe, rather a hard working person that is expressing his thoughts in an honest way.. And this goes to all of us in how we work or conduct our lives. We are different in many aspects.

I clown on method acting a lot too, but I also think the reason Jeremy Strong makes people cringe is because he is so sincere, and I think it’s that sincerity that makes him an incredible actor.

I think, as an actor myself, all artists should strive to have the level of commitment and vulnerability within their craft that Jeremy has. To play a role is to portray parts of the subconscious self you may never get to unearth in day to day life, and Jeremy truly give it his all with each role. I don’t find him pretentious. I believe him actually. This is profound.
