Mixed bag is correct: Sinners, Bring Her Back, and 28 Years Later are my top of this year. Really looking forward to Together, Weapons, and Strange Harvest although some of the other trailers before The Home (which was bananas) looked horrible

Bring her back was great, Clown in a Cornfield not so much. Bloodlines was lots of fun. I’ve heard Together is great (comes out 7/30)

we’re in an era where original horror is able to co-exist with the remakes and requels in a balanced way. so whether it’s good or not, i’m glad that original stories are getting financed

Sinners was the best movie this year and I am super excited for Weapons so I’d say it’s been a good year. I think Bring Her Back and Companion were good too.

IMO Sinners was 10/10, bloodlines was okay, ikwydls was so bad, the home was absolutely bananas, bring her back was not good, liked 28 yrs later, Megan 2.0 was awful

So far, I’ve only seen I Know What you Did last summer. I don’t think it’s a bad movie but I am tired of the Requel bandwagon. It’s getting over done at this point. And I give them credit for being ballsy with their choice of killer and I liked the characters but I’m just not feeling it.

Bring Her Back was incredibly disturbing (*satisfying*) for me as a horror lover. It’s been years since a movie hit me like that. I’m curious about Weapons, but have a feeling it could fall short. Honestly, the genre been struggling. I’m going backwards instead - I watched Cure recently and loved it.
