There is such a thing called “rabbit starvation” or protein poisoning from eating meat that’s too lean, like rabbit.

why so many people here cry about eating too much rabbit meat in the comments? It is unhealthy too eat too mich meat over all, rabit meat just has this high prptein consequence... the majority of the food you eat should be plant based, potatoes, beans, rice, green stuff like lettuce, and many more.. one should pick, what he likes

What she fails to mention is that the time and effort to kill and process the rabbit meat is actually WAAAY more work. In theory yeah a rabbit farm might produce more meat then a cow farm in a year but chickens are actually even better and easier while also being able to produce eggs.

Rabbits are good but are NOT a replacement. Too much rabbit meat leads to health problems are their meat do not contain all the necessary proteins and minerals we need

so unfortunately this is actually incorrect for a completely different reason than you may think yes they reproduce quickly yes they can harvested for a lack of better words quickly, but they don't contain the same nutrients so you can eat 300 rabbits and still not get the same nutrients you would get from one cow or one pig there is a term called rabbit fever or rabbit madness for more information

no the actual fact why we dont eat eabbits is they need a lot of manual work to process. Relatively little meat /animal so it takes more work hour to produce same amount of meat. Also sadly rabbit fur is not really used so it goes to waste means more cost. Overall if you want to compare efficiency you have to ceoss reference the area need / kg or ton of processed meat and also the food need to produce also 1 kg or 1 ton of processed meat. Those two are the most important numbers regarding meat animals. Also I would add that many cow is raised to give milk and those cows also end up meat at the and and even if their primary purpose is to produce milk.

The Caveman :
A typical 1,200-pound steer can produce about 450-570 pounds of boneless, trimmed beef per year. This amount varies depending on the cow's breed, age, diet, and how the meat is cut.

The problem with rabbit meat is they actually don't contain enough fat to sustain an adult human. If you want do a rabbit based diet, be sure to add another fat source.

lol these comments from US are hilarious! In europe it is totally common to find rabbit dishes in restaurants and it is totally common to raise rabbits for mest in villages. My grandad raised rabbits and chickens for meat. I have eaten hundreds of rabbits in my life.. there was even a point in my childhood where we could afford to eat anything else than rabbit everyday. lol.

Well rabbit meat would sell if it was cheap and precut. but is smaller = way more processing time. 🤔 Last time i saw it in freezer disk at Lidl it was a whole skinned one...ya i dont know what to do with a whole bunny where if there are bones etc🤔. And was quite pricy to😅
