Our school has the list from the prior year on the website. It never changes that much so I just grab things throughout the year as I have the $$ or find them on sale. Back to school is the same time every year.

Cuz we want to wait and also to get the bills out the way so that there is extra money to get said supplies and more importantly some of us procrastinate it is what it is🤷🏽♀️Christmas come at the same time every year and every im shopping December 23rd😬 its just in some us lol

They grow all summer in my experience so I find it best to wait until the month school starts. 🙂 my daughter is already outgrowing clothes we started the summer with. They just get tall as hell all of a sudden lol school supplies, I grab basics but I do like to wait to see if a teacher sends a list out first so I can grab the specifics they like! ❤️

They in different grades and each year these teachers want something new. I just be waiting for that list. But them school uniforms… i got them hos in the cart now and they go back in sep. 😅😂 Also last time i bought school supplies early the school sent them home with a book bag Full of supplies for that school year.

The supplies are the easiest to get bc it’s cheap but tax free weekend is when the clothes and shoes are more affordable bc of the deals. If I had just one I might but 2 adds up n I don’t even buy name brand I buy what’s cute n affordable.

I agree with this I slowly get stuff the backpack then shoes and so on just alittle big each paycheck makes it so much easier and then I normally have extras for them to bring

I buy clothes and stuff sizes up after Christmas and just keep going. Also buy known supplies at the end of the school year. I also try to find clearance stuff I know the class will need so I can donate it. I go to those bin places and get t l kinds of stuff for $3 and less. Now I have so many people that go with me 😆

Because certain stores have sporadic sales. Today at Walmart near me, kids tanks, basketball shorts, leggings, and tshirts were 50 cents to $1. Notebooks were 45 cents, but one of the clerks told me that they’ll go to 10 cents in a week. It’s all about stretching the dollar when they’re young. They’ll be prepared by the first day.

teacher here! don't wait on clothes BUT I love when parents wait to meet me and ask what I actually want from the supply list! a lot of the time teachers don't get a say in their supply lists and some of the things might be irrelevant to what is listed. I would rather parents save their money on things I won't have them use and instead ask for more support with wipes, sanitizer, etc.

Shoot. Easter and birthday’s they getting cloths and shoes. I see lunch boxes and booksacks in clearance they coming home with us. Same thing with supplies. Only thing they need is socks and we have two weeks till school.

I stock up end of the school year on basics like pencil pens highlighters paper folders binders etc I wait to buy the clothes because I got growing boys I can buy him a size 6 in June he will be a size 8 by August and even shoes I wait until August because the shoes I bought in June he won’t fit in by August growth spurt

Because half the time the school lists they put on the website for each grade isn’t what the teachers actually want/need/use. So I wait til orientation and get the lists from their actual teacher.

for most it honestly is financial. single parents with mutiple children. as long as they have thats all that should matter. you should consider a nonprofit for ppl who can't afford or need extra assistance u seem very passionate about the issue!
