I always just did my “rough” draft as my unedited one so I hadn’t check for typos or anything yet. Then fixed those and anything the teacher pointed out as my final draft

OMG I always got in so much trouble because they would grade us on revisions and I didn't need/want to revise between the rough and final 😅

I was gonna say yeah I just turned in my final paper as a rough draft, and my friends would think how lucky I was that I so naturally knew all of it already and didn't have to do more work to fix it. meanwhile I'm thinking I watched you finish that on the bus ride to school this morning and I haven't slept in 3 days.

I am still pursing more education in my late 40s and it honestly is SO difficult for me to even write a rough draft. I have to have the whole thing composed in my head before I can even sit down to start typing. Also have the pattern recognition, but my stance on rules has evolved. I’m still a stickler about some, but often see others as tools of oppression that shouldn’t exist.

I often neglected turning in a rough draft for that reason and the teachers didn't believe my final paper was my final paper. They would be like, but how did you get here, where's your rough draft and revision? And I'd be thinking, there was one step, an honorable mention to my horrible spelling went towards what I may call revision- but the red pen has long put the fear of doing any such thing in me.

I’m not just autistic. I’m also ADHD so rough draft no you’re not getting that… well it would go something like this. I was thinking about dolphins which led me to thinking about whales 🐳 which of course led to unicorns and from there to medieval wagons, which is why my final paper is on the width of airplanes believe it or not those actually all are connected, but I’m certainly not going to tell my teacher all about that because I don’t want them to think I’m on drugs, which I didn’t do🙄🤦🏻♀️

I hated turning in rough drafts! My paper will completely change the night before the final draft is due (when I actually start it) because that’s when I do my best work.
