Beautifully said!!! I’ve had a hard time reminding myself that I do NOT have to pin myself down to one type of content. I just enjoy creating. If I feel like posting about life insurance/finance, I will. If I feel like posting a video of me singing or the damn chickens, I effing will!! Because f****ck a cult like following lol. Also showing up fully often creates greater resonance - you are one of my fav creators because of how you balance rationality + mysticism, which can be hard to find when many people are incentivized to lean one way for the algorithm

I agree but there is a certain level of ideological congruency that allows the algorithm to work. Maybe the harm is the validation of a toxic belief one can get from that curated algorithm.

yeah its kind of like this for music rn too. like branding is just too powerful lol. it just feels so weird bc some artists dont give people a change to see their true charm and only show a more confident side, atleast in pop musics fear which I mostly listen too

THIS. this is why I avoided making videos for a LONG time. I kept breaking my head over what I was going to make videos about until I realized I could make them about EVERYTHING I wanted 😁 and now im so so glad I started making content because I can connect with different people. Not just one “kind” :)
